POLY-VICTIMIZATION – CONNECTING THE DOTS WITH INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE WEBINAR: The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is promoting this virtual event from the Justice Clearinghouse for Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2025.
Those who experience crime are not a monolith, and many victims of crime can experience multiple types of victimization. A one-size-fits-all approach leaves many victims, especially those experiencing intimate-partner violence, without the services and support they need.
Service providers need to understand poly-victimization and how it impacts survivors’ experiences with the programs at all levels and work to find the right resources and support mechanisms to serve victims best.
Learning Outcomes:
-Understand how poly-victimization plays a role in the way that victims experience the justice system.
-Identify potential gaps in services for those who experience poly-victimization.
-Identify three trauma-informed strategies service providers can use to support victims.
This virtual event is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Register to attend at https://www.justiceclearinghouse.com/webinar/poly-victimization-connecting-the-dots-with-intimate-partner-violence/?source=regpage
