Survivor Art Gallery

SURVIVOR ART GALLERY: The Center for Empowerment and Education will host its annual Survivor Art Gallery for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) on Monday, April 20, from 1 – 7 p.m., and Tuesday, April 21, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., in the Westside Campus Center Ballroom. This event will showcase students’ and community members’ paintings, drawings, photography, poems, stories, and more that exemplify their story of abuse, assault, trauma, healing and survival. The event is free and open to the public!

When and where do I submit my art? After completing the submission form, you can submit artwork to our main office (2 West St, Danbury) during business hours Monday-Friday (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) OR our campus office in the Student Health and Wellness Center, which is attached to Newbury Hall (Office 106) on the Midtown campus.
Please note: You MUST email or text the Systems Liaison, Rachel, at rachel.k@thecenterct.org (475 )279-7441 to coordinate drop offs to the WCSU campus office.
You can email written submissions (writing and/or poetry) to Volunteer & Survivor Engagement Coordinator: Annmarie.m@thecenterct.org and Ann Marie can print it out to be displayed at the gallery. Please note: We can only print images/ artwork up to 8 1/2 x 11.
