WOLVES DAY OF GIVING: Western Connecticut State University will launch its first Wolves Day of Giving on Thursday, Feb. 22, in a daylong event that will focus on the gift of education. All contributions made during Wolves Day of Giving will directly impact Western Connecticut State University and its students.

Multiple WCSU offices and departments will be part of Wolves Day of Giving and there will be a variety of competitive events to encourage participation. Each participating department or office has its own landing page that includes a video and/or text explanation of “Our Story,” along with specific fundraising opportunities, and in some cases, a running tally of funds raised by competing faculty members. These pages can be accessed from https://wolvesgivingday.wcsu.edu/.

Everyone is welcome to join the fun by wearing Wolves gear on Feb. 22 and posting a selfie on social media with the hashtag #WCSUWolvesDayofGiving. After posting to social media, participants are encouraged to email a photo to wcsupubdesign@wcsu.educreate new email to be entered for a chance to win prizes. Submitted photos also will be shared to WCSU social media pages.

Additional Student Activity Throughout the Day 

Thank you cards for WDG Donors – Students will have an opportunity to write thank you notes to our WDG donors throughout the day.  Participants will earn additional raffle tickets for writing thank you cards and sharing WDG on Social Media.

8 – 10 p.m. Campus Center Ballroom, Westside 

Refreshments will be served.   

Stickers/pens/chapsticks and other giveaways.

All attendees at WDG events will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of three Grand Prizes below.  Each event will offer chances for additional tickets by taking part in a game or challenge, donating, or sharing #Wolvesdayofgiving and tagging your favorite WDG fund on social media.

First Prize:  $1,000 to your WDG Fund of choice. Wolves pride swag and goodies basket. 

 Second Prize:  $700 to your WDG Fund of choice.  Wolves pride swag and goodies basket.

Grand Prize winners will be chosen from all entries at close of WDG.
