Research Interests and Publications:

Dr. Duffy’s research interests include critical race theory, transnational migration and urban studies.  She is currently working on her manuscript, Who’s Your Paddy? Irish Immigrant Generations in Greater New York, which explores different cohorts of Irish in the city of Yonkers, New York.  Future research projects will explore the history of the Irish in U.S. popular culture and the recent success of Irish step-dancing shows such as Riverdance.  Before returning to her graduate studies, Dr. Duffy worked as a high school social studies instructor in the Bronx, New York.
