Currently recruiting for small study exploring the individual perception, expectations, beliefs, and experience of minority patients that have undergone bariatric surgery in semi-structured interview settings.
In exploring these personal accounts of the surgery experience, the goal of this research is to provide new awareness and a richer picture of post-surgical life to shine light on potential reasons non-Hispanic black adults and Hispanic adults are not experiencing the same levels of excess weight loss and rates of weight maintenance compared with the Caucasian adult population.
