2012 WCSU’s ‘West Fest’ to feature Ludacris with special guest, Untitled

DANBURY, CONN. — The Western Connecticut State University Program Activities Council and Student Government Association will host the university’s annual “West Fest” concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Feldman Arena in the O’Neill Center on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury.

“West Fest” will feature R&B recording artist Ludacris and new R&B trio Untitled. The public is invited. General admission tickets will be $32 plus fees; WCSU students with valid I.D. will be admitted for $15 plus fees.

According to his official biography, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges first gained worldwide acclaim more than 10 years ago with his debut album “Back for the First Time.” Ludacris is not only a recording artist but also has been awarded Screen Actors Guild and Critics’ Choice awards for his work in the film “Crash.” Although Ludacris stays busy in the studio and has appeared in big and small screen projects, he still has found time to establish his own nonprofit organization, the Ludacris Foundation, which seeks to inspire youth through education and memorable experiences.

Untitled has shared the stage with artists such as Jagged Edge, K-Ci and Jo Jo, and New Edition. After signing with Ludacris’ record label DTP they hope not to remain nameless for much longer.

Tickets are available at the Westside Campus Center Box Office, by calling (203) 837-TIXX or at www.wcsu.edu/tickets.
