WCSU 2017 – Best Darn Jazz Club in Danbury


DANBURY, CONN. Western Connecticut State University will present the “Best Darn Jazz Club in Danbury” at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, in the Colonial Corner in the Student Center on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury.

The featured act for this event is “Rosemary Minkler’s Trio,” which includes Rosemary Minkler, of Waterbury, on the piano; Jeff Moro, of Brookfield, on the bass; Samantha Feliciano, of Stratford, on vocals; and Eric Hallenbeck, of Woodbury, on the drums. The opening act is the Nathan Edwards Quartet, which consists of Nathan Edwards, of Manchester, on the tenor saxophone; Joe Conticello, of Burlington, on the piano; Mike Louchen, of Torrington, on the bass; and Ethan Benton, of Essex Junction, Vermont, on the drums.

There will be a cash bar for attendees 21+ with a valid ID and complimentary non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public. A $5 donation to support the club is suggested and will be collected at the door.
