WCSU to host grant-writing workshop
DANBURY, CONN. — If you work for a non-profit and wonder how your competition wins big grants that you didn’t know exist, a workshop by Grant Writing USA at Western Connecticut State University could help.
The two-day workshop, which costs $425 per person, will be held on March 25 and 26, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 263 of the WCSU Science Building on the Midtown campus, 181 White St., Danbury.
The class covers how to write grant proposals and how to locate and track federal, state, local and non-governmental, private-sector grants.
The class is for both beginning and experienced grant writers from city, county and state agencies as well as nonprofits, K-12 schools, colleges and universities; for-profit businesses seeking grants to fund workforce development and training or research and development for the advancement of technology, medicine and/or national security; representatives of faith-based organizations; and individual grant seekers such as artists, filmmakers and researchers.
