2015 WCSU art students to hold ceramics sale

Image of student ceramic workDANBURY, CONN. —The Western Connecticut State University Department of Art will host a ceramics sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 10 and 11, 2015, in Room 012 of White Hall on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The public is invited.

Students in Western’s art department will sell their hand-made ceramics products. Thirty-nine students, participating in two ceramics classes, have produced a variety of functioning, non-toxic wares — namely plates and bowls — perfect for the holidays. Some of the pieces are made with pigmented clays, while others are glazed.

The ceramics are priced between $5 and $25. Money raised will be used to purchase supplies for the art department’s ceramics program.

A tour of the art studio will be available to all who visit the sale.
