DANBURY, CONN. — Wayne Keeley, an adjunct professor in the communication department at Western Connecticut State University, was nominated in the Community/Public Service (PSA) Campaign category at the 54th annual New York Emmy Awards.

The nominated video, “Do you know where your children are … on the Internet?” was written, directed and produced by Keeley for the council of the Better Business Bureau.

“It feels wonderful to be recognized by the Emmys again — especially since my last Emmy Awards were over a decade ago,” Keeley said of the achievement.

The nomination is his fourth with two wins. He previously won Emmy awards for his PSAs on anti-substance abuse and self-esteem.

The New York Emmy Awards website says the award is given “for talent and ability in composition, creation and performance of works which strive to improve the quality of television.”

Winners will be announced on April 4 at the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan.
