2013 MIR3 test

DANBURY, CONN. Western Connecticut State University will test its Emergency Notification System (MIR3) on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, before noon. Those who have previously registered to receive emergency notices, including weather-related closure information, through MIR3 will receive a test message via voice, text message or email to the devices (phones and PCs) they specified on their registration. This will be a test only – not an actual emergency.

Those who have not signed up to receive WCSU’s emergency messages may “Opt In” to MIR3 at: https://www.wcsu.edu/ens/ at any time.

As we enter the snow season, WCSU will use MIR3 to announce any early dismissals, campus closings, and/or opening delays created by weather conditions. We will also post this information on the university’s homepage (www.wcsu.edu) as “Emergency/Weather” alerts, place it on the WCSU “snowline” (203-837-9377), and post it on www.ctweather.com. We will endeavor to announce any early dismissal decision two hours prior to closure time and will announce any campus closure or delay decision by 5 a.m.
