DANBURY, CONN. — A group of students in the Department of Art at Western Connecticut State University earned the Gold Medal Award for their work from the Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) for 2015.

WCSU students Erin Manion, Jacqueline Chakar, Eric Hoffman and Christopher Gabriel were the collaborators of “Prisma,” the 20-page booklet that represented the annual senior students project. The theme, concept and design were created by the students and all of the images were produced by graphic design, photography and illustration students.

This award was part of the CADC’s 40th Year Celebration & Annual Awards event. The CADC is a professional organization with members from corporations, advertising agencies, art and design firms, photography studios, individual creative professionals and educators.

“We’re very proud of our art students for their talents and involvement,” said Jack Tom, WCSU assistant professor of illustration who worked with the students together with Art Department faculty David Skora and Catherine Vanaria.
