Campus services during weather closings and delays

As winter looms, several offices are preparing for weather conditions that could adversely affect the university. As you are aware, snow sometimes causes us to delay the university’s opening, close early, or to close for an entire day. Below is information about campus services during a closing/delay:

Campus & Student Centers and
Auxiliary Services

If Classes are Canceled / University Closed:

The Campus & Student Centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Dining Services (Student Center Restaurant and Westside Marketplace) will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Shuttle will not operate.

The Bookstore will be closed.

Delayed Opening:

The Campus & Student Centers will open at 8 a.m. and operate until normal closing.

Dining Services (Student Center Restaurant and Westside Marketplace) will be open at 9 a.m. and continue to normal closing.

The Shuttle will begin operation one hour before classes are to begin. (For example, if classes are beginning at 10 a.m., the first shuttle will leave at 9 a.m.)

The Bookstore will open when classes begin.

Early Closing:

The Campus & Student Centers will remain open until 7 p.m.

Dining Services (Student Center Restaurant and Westside Marketplace) will close at 6:30 p.m.

The Shuttle will continue to operate for one-and-a-half hours after classes are canceled. The last pickup from each campus will be one hour after classes are cancelled. (For example, if classes are canceled beginning at 2 p.m, the last shuttle will leave at 3 p.m.

The Bookstore will close when classes end.

Saturday Closing:

If the university closes on a Saturday, the Haas Library will be closed and the shuttle will not run. In that case, dining services for Midtown will be from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center Restaurant. The Westside schedule will remain as planned, but the Daily Grind will be closed.
