WCSU 2017 – WCSU police to host ‘Coffee with a Cop’
DANBURY, CONN. — The Western Connecticut State University Police Department will host “Coffee with a Cop” from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in the Danbury Room in the Student Center on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Lt. David Montini from Troop A of the Connecticut State Police and one of his K-9 Troopers with the dog will join WCSU police officers for coffee, pastries and conversation. It will be free and the public is invited.
According to a Connecticut State Police press release from December 2016, Montini was promoted to commanding officer of Troop A in Southbury after having served in the Statewide Narcotics Task Force. He has been a trooper for 18 years and has earned seven Unit Citation Awards and the TFC Allan J. Tuskowski Award for Excellence in Training. Montini earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and formerly worked as a police officer in Meriden.
