2013 Colonials bound for ECAC Northeast Bowl
DANBURY, CONN. — After posting an impressive 7-2 season, the WCSU Colonials will face Salve Regina University in the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Football Bowl Championships.
The game will kick off against the Seahawks at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Salve Regina University’s Gaudet Field, Newport, R.I.
Western enters Saturday’s competition on a four-game winning streak after defeating Westfield State on Nov. 16 to end the regular season. The Colonials posted a 6-2 record in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Seahawks and Colonials have played four times in the past, most recently in 2004 with Western holding a 4-0 advantage in the series. This is the first time the two teams will meet in the postseason.
This will be the Colonials’ second ECAC Bowl appearance.
