DANBURY, CONN. — The Western Connecticut State University Department of Art will host the annual Bachelor of Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition from April 24 through May 6, 2013, Monday through Thursday, noon to 4 p.m., in The Gallery at Higgins Hall on the WCSU Midtown campus, 181 White Street in Danbury. A reception for the artists will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24. The exhibition and reception will be free and open to the public.

The Senior Thesis Exhibition is the capstone experience for the students who major in art and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Within the program, there are four areas of concentration: Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography and Studio Art.

Graphic Design seniors are: Kristen Brassard, of Newtown; Janet Dey, of Milford; Antonio Franqueira, of New Fairfield; Christopher Gabriel, of Milford; Michael Gmitter, of Danbury; Zachary Hossan, of Danbury; Sarah Jackson, of New Milford; Danielle McPhee, of Oakville; Megan Mills, of Danbury; Stephanie Moran, of Stratford; Santiago Osegueda, of Norwalk; Shavonna Person, of Danbury; Briana Stottle, of New Milford; Sarah Weber, of Newtown; and Tina Yuanglamyai, of New Milford.

Illustration seniors are: Joseph Albert, of Lake Carmel, N.Y.; Sonya Elser, of New Fairfield; Timothy Heinlein, of New Milford; and Emily Gombos, of Woodbury.

Photography seniors are: Kayla Adams, of Bristol; Heather Brasche, of Burlington; Heather Braxton, of Stratford; Frederick Fitch, of Wallingford; Maria Palacios, of New Milford; Samantha Quattro, of Danbury; Robert Siemon, of Litchfield; Emily Staley, of Stafford Springs; and Brendan Wixted, of Southbury.

Studio Art seniors include: painters Corinne Speidel, of Newtown, and Amy Wheeler, of Sherman.
