DANBURY, CONN. — Western Connecticut State University’s spring production, “Seussical, the Musical,” will transport the audience into the imaginary world of Dr. Seuss this month, as Horton the Elephant will attempt to protect the people of Who-ville, who live on a tiny speck of dust. This fantastic, magical, musical extravaganza brings to life some of Dr. Seuss’s favorite characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird and Jojo, a little boy with a big imagination. The powers of friendship, love, and commitment are challenged and ultimately emerge triumphant in a story that is fun for all ages.
“I think adults and kids would like this equally … it’s so much fun,” predicted Andrew Hendrick, of Fairfield, who portrays Uncle Harry Who, Jojo’s uncle. “It’s like when adults go to Disney World — you will be transformed into a kid again.”
