2013 West Fest to feature GrooveBoston


DANBURY, CONN. — The Western Connecticut State University Program Activities Council and Student Government Association will host the university’s annual “West Fest” concert at 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, in the Feldman Arena at the O’Neill Center on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury.

“West Fest” will feature GrooveBoston on their Visceral College Tour. The public is invited. General admission tickets will be $40. Tickets for WCSU students with valid I.D. will be $15, and will cost $30 on day of event.

GrooveBoston’s website says, the “goal is to create LEGENDARY dance parties by combining massive-scale production with professional in-house talent, led by a world-class touring crew of some of the most talented audio, lighting, staging and special effects professionals in the industry.” GrooveBoston focuses on the experience as a whole, with a slogan of “Rage. Rinse. Repeat.” The concert will feature new production elements and a “borderline-outrageous amount of bass to the face,” according to the group’s Facebook page.
