Schedule of Events: New Student Orientation

We are excited for our 2025 New Student Orientation this summer. Orientation Sessions are on the following dates and students will be asked to register for the session that works best in their schedule. These overnight sessions will be interactive, fun-filled and have opportunities to win some great prizes!

Session 1, Tuesday/Wednesday, June 17/18
Session 2, Monday/Tuesday, June 23/24
Session 3, Thursday/Friday June 26/27
Session 4, Monday/Tuesday, June 30/July 1

Please be sure to set up your Student Account and upload your photo ID before you arrive so we have enough time to review and print our ID Card to give to you at check out!

Day 1

Check-in between 8 – 8:55 a.m. in Newbury Hall (Continental breakfast will be available in Higgins Hall after check-in).
Morning activities include meeting other new students and orientation leaders, hearing from university leaders and meeting faculty and staff, and learning about your academic programs.

Afternoon activities include touring our beautiful westside campus and learning about athletics, visual and performing arts, and other campus centers. You will also attend sessions pertaining to university advisement, technology, designing your life, as well as enjoy some evening live entertainmnet.

Evening activities include more fun and games and experiencing residential life.

Day 2

Activities for the day will include learning about how to join a club and get involved on campus as well as our recreation, club sports, and intramurals programs. You will be able to join in on some fun, too! 

Before the closing ceremony, you will be able to engage with our incredible student support services staff and visit important resources and offices that you will utilize throughout your college career. 

After the closing ceremony you will check-out in Newbury Hall from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. This is where you will be able to pick up your ID Card (only if you submitted a photo online), and then you will be able to shop at the bookstore, or visit other offices if they are open.

Meals, water, and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
