Kira Albinsky is an art historian based in Greenwich, CT. She received her BA in art history from Boston College and her MA and PhD in art history from Rutgers University. She specializes in early modern art in Italy, with a particular interest in the festive and visual culture of Rome during the Catholic Reformation. A portion of her dissertation research on the social history, devotional practices, and art patronage of the Archconfraternity of the Holy Crucifix of San Marcello in Rome appeared in the peer-reviewed volume Space, Place, & Motion: Locating Confraternities in the Late Medieval and Early Modern City in 2017. Before WCSU, she taught at Pratt Institute and Rutgers University.
