CSI accepting applications for 2024 Orientation Leaders!
Position: Orientation Leaders
Duties and responsibilities:
- Serve as a positive role model for new students and their families
- Attend and actively participate in the Orientation Leader training program
- Become knowledgeable through training on various resources and aspects of the University
- Acquaint new students with campus services, activities, facilities, and campus rules and regulations
- Encourage new students to fully participate in the university environment
- Lead tours and discussion groups for incoming students and/or parents
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
To be eligible for the position, you are required to meet the following:
- Registered for at least 6 credits and have a cumulative 2.0 GPA or above
- Be in good academic and judicial standing
- Be planning to register for the Fall ’24 semester
- Be able to work long days, if needed
- Accessible throughout the academic year to participate in other orientation programs as well as large events at the University, if needed
- Able to stay overnight, room will be provided, if needed
- Desire to assist new students in their transition to campus community
- Desire to be a leader and role-model, including on-campus, online, and in the community
- Be a team player, flexible, adaptable, dependable, and punctual
Selected students will receive stipends and temporary housing (if needed) for this position.

On February 1st, we deployed a new Club Portal called ENGAGE. This replaced the platform we have been using for the past several years, Presence. Presence is no longer accessible for forms, rosters and other services.
ENGAGE is the new place where your club roster, forms, events and other services like elections and service hour collection will be available to your club officers and members. It’s Presence, but it is easier to navigate, more services and much more reliable!
On the main page of Engage, we’ve provided a list of the resources we think will be most valuable to you as you learn how to navigate Engage and manage your organization’s roster, content, registration, and more!
We hope this new platform will make club operations a better experience for you.
