Applications are now open for the Hancock Student Leadership Program at Western Connecticut State University. The program is designed to empower WestConn undergraduates to become transformative leaders. This program connects students with real-world mentors, equips them with invaluable leadership skills, and prepares them to inspire and influence in their careers and communities. Students with 30 – 100 earned credits and a GPA of 3.3 or higher are eligible to apply.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. For preferred consideration for the Spring 2026 term, applications should be received by Friday, October 10, 2025.

o $1,500 stipend to support your leadership development.
o A shadowing experience in leadership in either an on- or an off-campus organizational setting
o Three (3) credits of Cooperative Education Internship (CED 297) for successful completion of the program.
