Aviation Weather Forecaster at Universal Weather & Aviation at White Plains NY 1998-1999. Responsibilities included preparation of weather packets for corporate pilots of fixed and rotor wing aircraft. Meteorological Technician for WSO Barrow AK. 2001-2002- Responsibilities included daily and nightly Upper Air release at NWS’s Northernmost duty station on the North Slope in Arctic Alaska. Hourly Data Acquisition of weather data in dangerously cold environmental conditions. Meteorologist-(Meteorologist Intern) for NWS WSFO Glasgow MT 2002-2003-Responsibilities included Upper Air Releases. Training and participation with both DAPM (Data Acquisition Program manager) & CPM (Cooperative Program Manager) to learn different weather instrumentation and proper data acquisition techniques. Meteorologist-(Journeyman Forecaster) for NWS Key West FL 2003-Dec 2019. Marine Forecast duties include issuance of a variety of products to a diverse array of customers who are highly vulnerable to Florida Keys tropical marine weather hazards: tropical cyclones, waterspouts, gale-force sustained winds, thunderstorms, winter/spring squall lines. Products include Coastal Waters Forecast, Coastal Flood Statements and Advisories, Special Marine Warnings, Marine Weather Statements, Small Craft Advisories, Gale Warnings, and finally Tropical Storm, Hurricane & Storm Surge Watches & Warnings (In coordination) with the NHC. Performed daily forecast and warning duties during operational shifts: *Issued and amended terminal aviation forecasts (TAFS). *Utilization of dual-polarization radar platform to issue polygon based warnings (WARNGEN) for both severe and non-severe convective weather for aviation, marine and public sectors in our service area. *14 years of radar interrogation experience in a tropically convective weather environment. *Issued and updated both short and long-term digital forecasts utilizing the (GFE) Graphical Forecast Editor. Meteorologist (Surface Analyst and Marine Forecaster) Ocean Prediction Center, College Park MD Dec 2019-Present). Analysis and 24,48,72 and 96 hour forecasts of both Atlantic and Pacific Basin non-tropical cyclones from 30N to the Arctic. Issuance of Gale, Storm and Hurricane Force warnings in both basins. Current surface analysis of both oceans performed every 6 hours in collaboration with NOAAs WPC Weather Prediction Center, TAFB (Tropical Analysis Forecast Branch) and HFO Honolulu Forecast Office. Decision Support Briefings with USCG et al developed for weather events as warranted.
