Arrival, Play and Morning Snack

Children choose materials and activities based on their interests, play with friends and have a snack from their lunch box.

9:00 – 9:20

Circle Time

As a group, the children discuss activities of the day, sing songs, rhymes and listen to a story. 

9:20 – 10:10

Group Time/ Learning Centers

Children choose activities based on their interests and teacher lesson plans.  Math, Computer, Science, Blocks, Writing and Reading Centers. Nutritious snack provided at this time.

10:10 - 11:00

Outside Time

Playground time or walks or large muscle play inside.

11:00 –11:45

Group Time/Learning Centers

Children choose activities based on teacher’s lesson plans and their interests.  Creative expression, dramatic play, music/movement, computers and reading.

11:45 –12:30

Lunch

12:30 – 1:00

Story Time

Teachers read books to children

1:00 – 2:30

Rest/Nap Time

Children sleep or rest quietly on cots.  Non-sleepers are given quiet books or activities.

2:30 – 2:45

Snack/Bathroom

A nutritious snack is provided

2:45 – 3:30

Circle/Group Time

3:30 – 4:15

Outside Time

4:15 – 5:00

Quiet Play time and Departure

Children select quiet activities.
