Isaac Martin Lerner – Adjunct Instructor (Choreographer)

Isaac Martin Lerner (Adjunct Instructor) is a New York City based dancer, choreographer, educator and director.  He received his BFA in dance performance at The Hartt School training mainly in Ballet and Modern Dance.  Since then has made his way into contemporary floorwork mixing elements of contemporary dance, acrobatics, and capoeira to find his own style. He is a company member with Cameron Mckinney’s Kizuna Dance performing locally and touring through the US and Europe.  As a choreographer and director he has created his own dance work throughout the US and has found long time collaborators in the world of opera.

He has choreographed productions of Rusalka and Platèe for Des Moines Metro Opera along side Director Chas Rader Schieber and Costume/Set Designer Jacob A Climer. He most recently worked alongside the same team as Assistant Director on Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  As an educator he is a teacher at Gibney Dance Center where he teaches contemporary floorwork as well as touring his own class and masterclass throughout the northeast while maintaining an Adjunct Professor Position at Adelphi University.
