Scott Wise – Adjunct Professor (Musical Theatre – Dance/Tap)

Scott Wise (Adjunct Professor): A member of Actor’s Equity, SAG/AFTRA, and SSDC, Scott was Broadway’s leading song & dance man throughout three decades. He is a Tony award winner for Jerome Robbins’ Broadway. Additionally, he was nominated for the Tony Award for his performances in State Fair and Fosse. He is also the proud recipient of the 1997 Connecticut’s Best Actor in a musical for Lucky in the Rain at East Haddam’s Goodspeed Opera House. You can also see Mr. Wise as Ezikiel Young in the hit movie musical Chicago. A veteran performer of fourteen Broadway shows, Mr. Wise has also choreographed and directed on Off Broadway and regionally. He worked side-by-side with Twyla Tharp as assistant director for the award-winning hit musical, Movin’ Out. Most recently Scott performed on Broadway in the timely musical Allegiance starring George Takei. In the spring of 2017 Scott will travel to Moscow, Russia to direct Crazy for You at the Boris Tschukin Theatre. Scott teaches vocal performance and theatre dance worldwide. With his wife Elizabeth Parkinson, Scott is the founder and director of FineLine Theatre Arts in New Milford, CT, a full spectrum performing arts school for children of all ages, as well as The Musical Theatre Lab, a preprofessional summer musical theatre intensive for preprofessional students. With his back ground so rooted in performing on Broadway he hopes to share his knowledge, guide aspiring performers, and share the joy he has found throughout his career to students of all levels. Scott is proud to part of the wonderful faculty at WCSU!
